Moonbuck Rabbitry was born from a lifelong love of animals and a fascination with the art and science of animal husbandry. My college studies in conservation and animal husbandry deepened my appreciation for the care, observation, and dedication that goes into raising animals well — but my journey with rabbits began with something much simpler: connection.
After spending time with one extraordinary Holland Lop, I discovered just how special this breed could be. Holland Lops are affectionate, intelligent, and full of personality, but they also bring something difficult to put into words: a sense of calm and joy. Whether they are happily binkying across the yard, exploring their surroundings, or simply resting nearby, rabbits can have a beautifully quiet presence.
That experience inspired me to create Moonbuck Rabbitry — with the hope of helping others discover the same companionship and peaceful connection that a wonderful rabbit can bring.
At Moonbuck, our philosophy is rooted in intentional care. We take a limited approach to breeding, prioritizing the temperament, health and well-being of our rabbits above all else. Each rabbit is given time to grow, socialize, and thrive, and every rabbit we produce is raised with the goal of becoming a beloved companion.
The name Moonbuck reflects our belief that life moves in seasons, much like the phases of the moon. For both the rabbits and me, life is seldom static. There are times for new beginnings, times for deepening relationships, and times for quiet moments of enjoyment. We embrace each phase with patience, care, and gratitude.
